(PROJECT HEAVENS' WINGS MISSION)
Is to mentor, rebuild/re-structure and develop these young women and children into beautiful (ANGELS) one wing at a time.
(PROJECT HEAVENS' WINGS), Is designed for young girls that have been through or want to avoid going through the struggles of abuse. In today's society a lot of young girls and women go through abuse in many different ways, such as:
- RAPE
- MOLESTATION
- PHYSICAL ABUSE
- MENTAL ABUSE
- SELF INFLICTED ABUSE DEPRESSION
- NEGLECT
- ALIENATION
The generation that is in society now have been silenced. More so forced to not speak (don't snitch), and they (our youth) have been programmed to honor that! We have to stand up and show children and youth everywhere, that speaking out is not deemed snitching. Speaking out is someones second chance, or only chance. Speaking out is our right.
We go primarily to schools in underprivileged communities, and encourage them to SPEAK UP! and SPEAK OUT! We also speak out about statistics on abuse for there demographic, and the odds they have of beating them.
We express to them that they are absolutely not alone. They will understand this, especially when (PROJECT HEAVENS' WINGS)staff and volunteers explain, and describe their past and some more present experiences with abuse.
(PROJECT HEAVENS' WINGS) wants to adopt and mentor several girls from each school. The young girls that severely need mentoring and/or guidance. With our big sisters program these young girls will be taken under the wing of a woman/ young woman, that struggle matches theirs.
ABOUT PROJECT HEAVENS' WINGS
After any seminar/gathering, we carefully select 3 to 5 young ladies/girls, that desperately need guidance/mentoring. These young ladies that are chosen will then have a profile created. They will be placed with a mentor that fits there background. The two will exchange information, (numbers,emails etc.). They will form a sisterly bond and the young ladies will be able to truly depend on there mentors.
MENTORING ANGELS
- We pair young ladies with mentors that match their struggle and their profiles
- The young ladies and their mentors talk weekly and/or daily. The young ladies are allowed to call their mentor anytime of any day
- We all have monthly gatherings and/or meetings at different locations, with the young ladies and all the mentors. At these meetings parents are welcomed to come and see their daughters progress.
- All the mentors and young ladies MUST COMPLETE at least 5 to 10 hours of community service monthly.
- Twice a month the mentors and young ladies MUST go out to lunch or dinner. Also do some type of outdoor activity together
